Electric Bicycles
Electric bicycles are finally coming of age, and greatly enhance the capabilities of the conventional bicycle as a viable transportation option. An electric motor provides a boost to normal pedalling, making it easy to climb hills, keep up with traffic, extend riding range, and greatly reduce riding exertion. I use mine to commute to work, and arrive at the office without breaking a sweat. In most states in the U.S. properly configured electric bikes do not need to be registered, and can be riden on sidewalks, bike lanes, or roadways.
